Obscure Love

Should I create a monument of love and dedicate it to you?
Should this shrine be large and loud, viewed and heard by all?
Should it be obvious, predictable, and proud?

Should I write a tome about the feelings born inside of me every time I see you smile?
Should this work then be published and sold?
Should it leave me naked and exposed to the world?

Should I write your name across the sky?
Should I worship the ground you walk on?
Should I surrender my life and devote it completely to loving you?

Should my endless love for you be announced and arrogant?
Or can I keep it a secret buried deep inside the simple words of this poem?
